Another tragedy, while unrelated, is a similar situation -- Project Origin has been pushed back to Q1 2009. 
Although, movies tend to be pushed back because of money. Video games are more likely to be pushed back because of difficulty programming.
I'm guessing that Project Origin has been pushed back because of trouble coding the PlayStation 3 version (surprise, surprise).
