We'll see. It seems less based on the eerie Louisiana superstitious vibe (different part of the country), so it seems more economics based. Reminds me of Chinatown in some ways, in terms of the one subplot.

See, I can't help but compare it to AHS -- although AHS uses the same actors (more or less) each season. It's just that even with the location shifts in AHS, I don't think the seasons clearly broke away from each other. Here, I feel like the tone is actually a bit different and can accept season 2 as really a "new" entry under the umbrella of a series name. Which I think is commendable, if they can tell another story that works.

Totally agree. I love that sort of thing. Part of the reason why I miss "LOST", and why I'm excited for Twin Peaks season 3.
I guess I was curious as to what you felt was traumatizing about it.

    Oh, gotcha.

I related a lot to Rust, because his e1 logic made intuitive sense to me. And the result of that was that I sort of got dragged into the pit with him, as the season went on. Didn't help that I binge-watched it in about four days. (Lesson learned.)

Ahh. The best stuff breaks you good though. Maybe that's my 4 wing

I relate a bit. What attracted me so much was to see a character embody a worldview I recognized and had gone through at one point, that few permit themselves an understanding of. It was fun for me to swim in that again. I don't think I'll find that again this season, but that's okay.

I like the urban setting of this season.

One quesiton, who is that person Collin Farrel's character broke into the home of wearing a mask and beat up (away from the screen)? I do realize that he is working as the muscle of that casino gangster. Does is have something to do with that/the gangster?

I was a little unclear as well, but it was the reporter who broke the story on whatever Vince has going on with all the developments.

Hey, the guy who directed GoT's "The Gift" and "Hardhome" this past season is directing s2e6. Just thought that was interesting.

I was thinking they should've incorporated Nick Cave in the OST.

Then I find out later that they did. It was in the ending credits.
