What Was the WORST Video Game You Ever Played?

WTF is that?

I'm actually interested in the odd underworld sex in gaming, although apart from the terrible Custer's revenge rape game and a text based game about swingers and a hot tub called soft core adventure or something (it was a precursor to Leisure Suit Larry) I didnt think there was much of it on the Atari.

Gaming wouldnt begin to become something for adults until the Amiga era, at least that's when Duke Nukem brought it with the strippers and games like Lula, which actually featured a plot about hardcore pornography, came out and were properly 18 rated.

A lot of the games before that were humour based and sort of played upon the idea of desperate teenage boys being the gaming population or target audience. That occasionally makes a come back now and again, Seven Sins on the PS1 for instance.

As far as ROMs go, I've played essentially every NES and SNES game ever made, and with that, I have played far more horrible games than I can recount or properly rate in comparison to each other.

What is this ROMs?

Is it emulators? I know I've seen my brothers play emulated games, usually mario games.

You own E.T. The Extraterrestrial?

 I do.
I have a dozen or so Atari games, and a fully operational Atari 7800. Had it since I was 3 or 4 (well, it was my brother's, he was 5 or 6).

Actually, does anyone know how the console/games would fare in my carry-on luggage? Would the stupid TSA xray machines mess it up somehow?
Or would it be safer to ship it USPS/FedEx?

I'll be going back to New England for a couple weeks - it's stored at my mother's house- & taking the Atari back w/me to CA when I leave there. I don't want to kill my game console. I actually enjoy its shitty arcade quality, & I'm overall a bit sentimental about it, admittedly.

As for more modern titles, all the most disappointing ones (though not necessarily the worst of all time) happen to be sequels, such as:

  • Infamous 2
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 4
  • Suler Mario Bros. 2 (not so modern, but WTH)
  • Donkey Kong 3
  • Half-Life 2: Episode Three

Yours is definitely worse. I'd rather play pacman or centipede or something.

That video doesn't portray why the game is so bad, and the person playing it is rather skilled at it so it doesn't fairly show what's wrong with the game E.T The Extraterrestrial.

What's wrong is not the terrible graphics, but the gameplay itself. It's too easy to fall into a pit, and these pits take up more than half of an individual screen, while E.T. clumsily tries to negotiate around them. It's difficult to get a feel for the boundary between E.T. and the pit you're trying to avoid, assuming you're trying to avoid it. But even when you purposely enter a pit, they are a devil to get out of. Many times, you think you're out and then you fall right back in again. This happened only once or twice during the video.

Another problem not shown in the video involved the FBI bad guys. They come out of nowhere and take E.T. away to their federal prison or whatever it is. Then you have to start all over again.
