Didn't know Incubus had it in them, before this soundtrack.

They're huge Halo fans apparently, all four pieces I found terrific.

Yeah. I was really impressed because they were never really my thing, and didn't know they were so good instrumentally (not necessarily in a technical way, but just a more complex arrangements and vibe I guess).

And Volume 1 of the soundtrack really surprised me. Seemed like it was bound to suck but to my surprise there's some really cool music in there. And yeah, I mean, I think I might even like that one Breaking Benjamin track in the soundtrack. Not at all my kind of thing but I kinda dig it. Sort of a guilty pleasure. (I might sound kinda snobbish saying this but maybe I am a bit, when it comes to music. Well, art in general.).

Have you ever heard Incubus' SCIENCE album? It's definitely a different sound than their more radio friendly/popular stuff. Their bassist, for one, had a great funk style and I thought kept them fresh. I believe he left after Morning View though.

Also the first Halo soundtrack is great too, no real artists though. Oh great now I'm gonna be on an Incubus marathon....

And yeah first Halo soundtrack is probably my favorite (haven't played Halo 3 yet though). Just awesome :

I've often been a fan of traditional Turkish music, especially its military marches:
