Ever since Train of Thought they seem too keen/worried on/about picking up influences from other bands. Metallica (ToT), Muse (Octavarium)...

They had a great and pretty unmistakable sound, and they parted from it, somewhat. They do have some great songs here and there, but even though I'm glad that they won't resign themselves to stagnation (like so many other bands) I can't help but think their best stuff is all in the past.

As for "nothing is ever enough". That's not case with me. I'm not disappointed at them or anything. They just failed to grab my interest after Six Degrees. I used to listen to DT all the time and nowadays I don't get a kick out of it unless it's the older stuff.
