To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.
    ~ Elbert Hubbard

Music provides one of the clearest examples of a much deeper relation between mathematics and human experience.

Cool Eddie Vedder - Society - From the movie Into The Wild

    Eddie Vedder - Society

    From Into The Wild

    It's a mystery to me
    we have a greed
    with which we have agreed

You think you have to want
    more than you need
until you have it all you won't be free

    Society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me

When you want more than you have
    you think you need
and when you think more than you want
    your thoughts begin to bleed

I think I need to find a bigger place
'cos when you have more than you think
    you need more space

    Society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
    Society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

There's those thinking more or less less is more
but if less is more how you're keeping score?
Means for every point you make
    your level drops
kinda like it's starting from the top
    you can't do that...

    Society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
    Society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

    Society, have mercy on me
I hope you're not angry if I disagree
    Society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

I sang this to my Girlfriend on our first date when it came on the radio.

    Damn I love that song.
Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays, instead of serving you, if he sacrifices it to your opinion.

    Long before Wilco...

Take the weakest thing in you
And then beat the bastards with it
And always hold on when you get love
So you can let go when you give it

Part of my aggressive motivation playlist -- trying to really get shit done this morning. Which is difficult, because staying motivated on a Friday morning is difficult.

Other bands/artists on the playlists include Rage Against the Machine/One Day As a Lion, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and our favorite badass (with an emphasis on "bad") early oughts band, Linkin Park.
