To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.
    ~ Elbert Hubbard

Music provides one of the clearest examples of a much deeper relation between mathematics and human experience.

    You hem me in -- behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

A few days ago they showed
    The Last Waltz
on a Huge outdoor screen in the park here, in the evening.
A lot of us spent the whole day at the community pool in the park, because it has become hot here.
A bunch of kids sat in a row on the big wall around the pool, to watch the movie and bullshit with each other
Everyone on the field sang along,
And a lot of people brought guitars and played along
    It was very AMAZING!!!!!
Afterwards we swam in the pool some more

'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.
    - A.A. Milne.
