    Is anyone else anticipating this Cold War drama? Looks to be a smashing hit, I say... SMASHING!!!

    Looks cheap.

    Do we have to thank the success of 'Homeland' for this?

    The first season is good, the second, in spite of its awards, not so much.

    I tried watching the first episode the night it premiered and my reaction was "Keri Russell looks great for her age" and then ":C" at the rest of it.

    I lost interest quickly.

    And hey, I thought the second season of Homeland was great! >:O

    I actually haven't seen it yet. I watched the Chicago Blackhawks game, had a beer and fell asleep. I'll watch it online sometime this week.

    I've tried watching Homeland a few times and just can't get interested in it. However, I like Dexter quite a lot (for some reason.) Dexter isn't the type show I would normally like. So far, I like "The Americans" quite a lot. It remains to be seen how it will be after a few episodes, but I thought it started off well. It does seem to capture the mood of the Cold War fairly well, a period of history I'm interested in. Keri Russell is in great shape for the show and has trained extensively for it. She is perfect for the role, IMO. So, I do understand the comparison of "The Americans" to "Homeland." I have had a chance to see Homeland from time to time only because it comes on right before Dexter. But I wouldn't compare Homeland to The Americans too much myself. The vibe of each seems totally different to me.

    I just watched the pilot episode. Very interesting so far. Hopefully, it will keep up the momentum. I especially liked the love scene because of the tension leading up to it. I'm not a big fan of 80's music, in general, but I'm adding In The Air Tonight to my list of exceptions.

    Just saw the second episode. I'm liking the way they do this show. It's expertly crafted.

    And Tusk! Major points for that too (even though it's technically 70s)!

    I just saw the pilot tonight. I liked what I saw but still feel it could go either way. As long as they can keep up that sort of writing, I will stick with it.

    I've dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas;
    they've gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind.
