    A lot of people don't like to pay attention to music anymore, and also don't want new ways of doing things.

    If someone does something different, people will complain about it. People don't want to listen because that's work somehow I guess. This is called making music 'accessible'. Simple, familiar, and not having to pay attention to a lot of things happening in a song at once.

    Ironically, independent producers are light years ahead of ones that make big bucks at this point.

    With nothing left to say pop music is becoming louder, and now needs to shout to be heard. And so now we can't listen to it unless we are drugged.
