Default British People/Characters on non British TV

British People on TV... You might be wondering 'Well what the hell has this got to do with anything?'
and, well, you'd be right; if you said 'nothing at all.'

But I'm British and, when I hear a British accent in something I'm watching, I'm all like 'yay!'

    So, British People/Chacratcers on TV.

From Star Trek Deep Space 9, Dr. Bashir

This guy reminds me of me... but then so does Spike and Giles from Buffy and, Daphne from Fraiser. - Because of the Britishness you see.

If you didn't know.. the actor who played Spike is a Chicago native. He must have done a good job at the accent for you not to have him on your shit list.

I knew he was American... That's all I knew.

Spike, the character, still reminds me of me, though.

They're often evil. Which I find hilarious. (Like Scar in The Lion King, who has a gorgeous British accent while all his relatives have all-American accents.)

I love British accents, especially that which I refer to as "posh-but-not-SUPER-POSH".

    Love him.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Take the weakest thing in you
And then beat the bastards with it
And always hold on when you get love
