I saw your name and it occurred to me that the over-seas subplot in Dark Knight is a perfect example of a MacGuffin.

They got Robert Downey Jr. to play Sherlock Holmes, so I don't really see what your problem is. Anyway they're actors! They're supposed to play characters that are different from them, whether it be personality, nationality etc. I mean, there is a limit to this, obviously, like a white guy playing a black character (yes I was thinking about Tropic Thunder when I was writing this) but you have to detach politics and nationality and remember that it's the skill and talent of the actor that matters, not their nationality.

    Amen to that!

It was as if he had never seen the Joker in the Comics.

Jack Nicholson is such a hard core ESTP, all his characters get a bit of (if not a lot of) ESTP in it.

And he played the Joker as a stereotypical cocky pushy ESTP and not a stereotypical insane ENTP shit stirrer as it was meant to be in the comics.

Sorry Jack, your version of the Joker sucked.

Of course there are 500 million people to support you and to tell me to go suck it.

But then came Heath Ledger and showed how it was really done.

Atleast they would back me up.

    What a stupid plot twist.
People are going to think it is a superhero movie or something.
