I keep meaning to read that, I have just had such a hard time focusing on anything lately. I'm reading Freakonomics and the current Scientific American Mind.

I just started reading Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I'm not sure if it's the translation, but so far I'm underwhelmed by the prose and dialogue.

although i find her philosophy extremely cold, and well impossible and contradictory, its very intersting and we could all learn alot from it nonetheless.
I love that book, I couldn't put it down. But yes, her philosophy is kind of unrealistic--she takes some decent ideas and pushes them to a ridiculous extreme.

I'm reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas atm. It's an absolutely insane book, Hunter S. Thompson is a true visionary. The writing is fast-paced, paranoid and hilarious, and the attorney character is one of the better sidekicks I've seen in a book. His 'as your attorney I advise you to' statement that he uses for everything from asking for mescaline to advising Thompson's character to order a chiliburger is just side-splitting, as is the extreme misunderstanding of 'marijuana addicts' that is represented at the Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Convention.

I'm loving it so far. It's funny, insane and crazy.

Usually have several books on the go at one time involving new and ongoing interests.
Current new topic: Darwin's Black Box

'Maybe the questions are right, we just don't like the answers'
