I just finished "Cat's Eye" by Margaret Atwood.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

every normal man must be tempted, at times,
to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag,
    and begin slitting throats.

The Shipping News by E. Annie Proulx. Apparently it was made into a movie too?

Just finished July's People by Nadine Gordimer. I don't think I understood it thoroughly... It felt kind of confusing due to the dialogue punctuation, and I felt a bit underwhelmed overall. I don't know what to think.

All I know is, July is totally a 2w1. Fo' realz.
