Which are some of your favourite foreign films?

By foreign: any movie whose main language is not English.

The Classic

I cried like I was a woman going through menopause. I felt so emasculated.

I don't even like horror films typically, but this was the most recent foreign film I really liked.

I adore that movie. Anything with Jackie Chan really. He gets the green light on anything he makes, no matter how crappy.

Right on.. I was going to put up Rumble in the Bronx to be a smartass, couldn't pass up repping my favorite Jackie movie.

Also: Amelie, Umbrellas of Cherborg, The Labrynth of the Faun, all those Zhang Yimou movies that got released for English Speaking audiences (Hero, Curse of the Golden Flower, etc), Akira Kurasawa flicks.

Pan's Labyrinth

After the Wedding - Danish film of quiet amazingness... Hollywood is doing an American version that is sure to botch it all up.

There's a list, but I can't remember them all off the top of my head. Several have already been mentioned in previous posts. The most recent ones I've seen are Ip Man (1 and 2).
