    Tool: Lateralus

Honestly, that's all I can think of right now. I'm not as familar with some classic bands as I should be, and certainly not their albums, even when I do know their music. Standards for albums are different than standards for singles, and few albums have the continuity to qualify as truly great.

    1. Hunky Dory -David Bowie. I never get tired of this, I've probably listened to this once a week for the last year.
    2. Talking Book - Stevie Wonder. He helped me unlock my inner sap. I just love the way Stevie honestly expresses himself.
    3. Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan. It's Bob Dylan, I gave my daughter a middle name based off a track.

Honorable mention goes to "The Beatles" (The White Album), it's a mess and I love it.
I would have picked Station to Station for Bowie and Songs In The Key Of Life for Stevie Wonder.....

These are only my favorites right now
    1. Sunflower(1970) by The Beach Boys - sweet harmonies and diverse songs, music with positive early '70s vibes
    2. There's A Riot Goin On(1971) by Sly and The Family Stone - druggy vibe and funky basslines, primitive drum machines that sound better than '80s-present drum machine sounds
    3. Court and Spark(1974) by Joni Mitchell - jazzy mellow '70s California pop

^ I like my '70s music, if I could add some more, it would be Zenyatta Mondatta(1980) by The Police, Off The Wall(1979) by Michael Jackson, The Village Green Preservation Society(1968) by The Kinks, and Victoria Land(1984) by Cocteau Twins.

Seems impossible to choose only three.. there are so many more I adore. but I guess I'll stick with the following:

    - Bleach by Nirvana
    - The Mantle by Agalloch
    - The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett

I do not like the human race. I don’t like their heads. I don’t like their faces. I don’t like their feet. I don’t like their conversations. I don’t like their hairdos. I don’t like their automobiles. I don’t like their dogs or their cats or their roses.

    At the moment...

Bob's first masterpiece, such a diverse collection of gems!

An underrated McCartney solo album with a killer B-side:

And last but not least, Anais Mitchell's folk opera that tells a variation on a Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. It features Bon Iver and Ani DiFranco, among others.
