Oh, very very cool. ;)

I loved Mad Magazine. Even the Don Martin cartoons, and Spy vs Spy, and Paul Coker Jr. did a lot of art for them in the 70's/80's (he did set/art design for most of the Rankin-Bass stop-motion specials involving Rudolph and Santa).

I used to love these!

Even if they're not nearly as spectacular as the Land O' Lakes butter porn of my childhood.

(To anyone not in the know about 30-year-old porn tricks, don't worry; it's suitable for work. I learned it when I was, like, six.)

An interactive version of Al Jaffee's Mad Magazine fold-ins, from 1967 to the present.

I used to love Mad Magazine. And the fold-ins were my favorite part.

I used to read Mad magazine as a kid. I clearly remember the 2nd one (December 1968, "On the campaign trail") and vaguely remember a couple other old ones at the website. I was only 12 in 1968 so I didn't understand some of the political or war references in the magazines. But it was fun playing with the fold-ins. :)

I remember the Land O' Lakes Maiden well. The knees were supposed to be an example of subliminal advertising (and the folding trick transposed them into their proper place), like the naked woman in the camel's leg on Camel cigarettes.
