This might be TMI, but I was having sex with my bf during the end of last night's episode and he turned around to look at the TV, said "oh shit," and stopped in the middle of it to watch it.

So that was his reaction lol!

Really? Robb is so bland, and Talisa is a cardboard support for him. Catelyn is more interesting, I'll give you that, but she's been too focused on her children to have much of a personality beyond that.

If it had been Tyrion or Cersei, that would be hard.

One of my friends is really, really upset that Robb is dead. Robb is his favorite character. As for me, I love the fact that GRRM kills off characters. That needs to happen more often in stories, so that no one seems safe, and that actual dramatic tension exists.

Small things I enjoyed in last night's episode:

1. The Twins showing up on the opening credits map. That was satisfying.
2. Jorah's continued friendzoning lol.
3. The Jinglebell Frey substitution. It would have taken too much effort to set up the character but Cat needed to kill SOMEONE.
4. Blackfish's bathroom break. I was afraid they were going to bump him off when they got him over for the wedding.

Bathroom breaks won't be working so well for Tywin Lannister next season. :}

5. MORE BOOK SPOILERS HERE, BEWARE

Talisa wasn't a spy, thank goodness. That would have made Robb look even dumber. I also heard some conspiracy theories that she was going to be left alive and become some kind of Jeyne Poole/Fake Arya substitute, because the show writers want to introduce as few new characters as they can and we didn't really see a Jeyne Poole in S1. Now that Talisa is good and dead, I don't have to worry about any of that, because I would have hated it.

I'm glad she's not a spy either. People kept on pointing to the letters, and I said that I'm pretty sure that's just a red herring. The scene in the tent a few nights ago didn't play like she was actually a spy. The feeling of doom I had throughout the episode was palpable. I also loved that my plan to mislead my coworkers by telling them that nothing happens this season, just a bunch of weddings, worked.

Also, I'm curious to see if the people who say they are never going to watch are gong to stick with the show. My friend was pretty pissed off. "'Who am I supposed to root for? Danerys? She doesn't DO anything (pretty sure he's some kind of Se type)?" I said, how would you make it feel if the Lannisters got their dues? "That would help a lot." I wanted him to stick with the show, so I said, "It hasn't happened yet, but I think the Lannisters might get what's coming to them eventually." I tried to make it sound like it was a long way off, but catharsis will really happen next year.

Can't wait for the Martells to come on scene next season! I love the Martells. I just hope they don't all end up like Quentyn (the only lame Martell).

I really wish more fiction did stuff like that. Not to start a flamewar with the Potter fans, but, Harry really should have died. I still don't understand how he survived.

Srsly, Nevil or whatever his name is should have been the chosen one. Harry should have been the decoy.

Back to GoT--Rickon and Bran splitting had a decent transition. I didn't know when they were going to introduce that element into it. I also think that Ygritte had a more feminine reaction this time than in the book--I remember her clearly

shooting Jon in the leg for trying to fight and get away. She never gets THAT attached to him that she wouldn't act like anything but a wildling.

Not cool imo. It sort of made her look like she was all talk.

I still think they could have introduced Moon Boy into the scenes somehow. Srsly, he was a biiit important to me.

The amount of time Jaime reflects on Moon Boy's name when he gets back to King's Landing and talks to Tyrion was just a pretty important part.. He was seriously considering whether that was a joke or not. I just think the character had a great effect on him.

well actually he has become a bit of a bore in the last few episodes, but i was hoping there's an up curve for him still left. just one more season? that's not much.

I accidentally spoilered my daughter, since she's only read the first few books. She was not amused. I haven't been keeping up with the show since we don't have HBO and I haven't been motivated enough to watch it on other sources (like my daughter has), so I didn't know she didn't know.

Regarding the season finale:

I hope we get to see Stoneheart at the end. They did set up the whole Beric/Thoros resurrection thing earlier this season so it would make sense to introduce Zombie Cat as well, IMO.

We haven't even seen them dump her body in the river so that Arya can come across it yet. The going assumption is that Stoneheart doesn't make an appearance until season 5. There is so much other important stuff to deal with right now, and I think the shock of her return would be much greater if they give us some time to forget about her. The real question is whether they kill Joffrey next episode or about halfway through next season. I think they will postpone that till next season because they haven't set up the Margery Joffrey wedding enough for it to be coming next episode. We'll have to see more Jon next episode because they need to set up his ascendancy to lord commander and the coming battle at castle black that I don't think will happen till next year. Show watchers are going to flip shit at what happens to ygritte.
