It depends on how was written, but it is quite possible. Some people, myself included believe that novels such as the LOTR could be trimmed down without much loss in content.

Not in quality, but that's the bin it ended up in lol

She's an excellent writer, she just thought novels needed to be longer than they do. So they basically said they were interested, but not willing to print a book that was so expensive. She got a decent contract out of it though.

It depends on how was written, but it is quite possible. Some people, myself included believe that novels such as the LOTR could be trimmed down without much loss in content.

Fantasy novels tend to be longer. Plus, it depends on the agent, editor, and writer.
