I didn't realize Ellen Page was the girl in Hard Candy. It has been on my "to see" list for awhile but I'll have to bump it up since I liked her so much in Juno.

I have to say though, Julie Christie was haunting in "Away from Her." Ellen Page was cute, smart, sarcastic, etc., but I would guess she's probably pretty much like that IRL, so, the role probably wasn't that much of a stretch for her. I liked both performances, but I think Julie Christie is deserving of the win.

I think Alan Rickman should have gotten an award nomination (at least) for his role in Die Hard.

    No, he's not.

Well I put Transformers on my official ballot for best visual effects... Should have gone with The Golden Compass which I did in your poll.

I also voted for Transformers, and I'm the creator of that poll! The creator doesn't get rewarded either!

I like that Sweeney Todd won for Best Art Direction, though!

I just want to announce that I think Tilda Swinton looks like a freak.

edit: And Jessica Alba completely makes up for this.... O.O
But sir, your opinion is wrong.

I wish they would go more in depth with the Scientific and Technical Achievement awards.

Understand that the majority of the population isn't smart or interested enough to care about all that.

Oh and I'd like to add that I hate the academy for picking the Coens over Paul Thomas Anderson.
