Can't believe I forgot this one...again compliments of PBS, which has always been a good source of non-US programming fare:

From an 8 year old boy's perspective in 1982, nobody on the planet was cooler than The Doctor. Actually that may still be true.

I even have the whole animated series on DVD.
    It was god awful.

So bad it's good, but I dunno if I'd have admitted to having the DVD. Bold.

LOL, I'd forgotten all about that show. Never missed it back in the day.

As I got a bit older..if we're also including reruns/sitcoms, my Dad often watched the following and so I've seen a lot of the episodes -

    The Andy Griffith Show
    I Dream of Jeannie
    Bewitched

    ---------

And regular prime-time stuff, I watched Cosby Show, Family Ties, Newhart... earlier than that, I vaguely remember Three's Company, Dukes of Hazzard, Silver Spoons, Love Boat...I'm sure the list goes on....

I mean jeesh, a helicopter with turbo jets and machine guns, awesome 80s-synth theme song, Ernest Borgnine - couldn't ask for much more than that.
