Final Fantasy VII is my favourite game of all time, absolutely epic.

Yeah it's probably my favorite game too. At the very least it's in my top 10. And that is my favorite song from the game.

It was the first game I got when I received a PSone for christmas when I was a child. Blew me away then and when it became availabe to download for PS3 it blew me away again.

I played it first in college, but I bought my PSone basically just for that game. I had always liked RPG video games, but this is the first time I thought an RPG video game was setting off with its own unique vision instead of simply trying to copy D&D.

JRPGs...never liked JRPGs as much as their western counterparts. Although I did like Grandia II and Eternal Sonata, battle systems were wonderfully unique and strategic.

RPGs however...some of my greatest gaming experiences are RPGs. 400 hours of Morrowind, 100 hours of Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights, KotOR I and II, Fallout, Diablo, Deus Ex, can go on forever really.

I don't identify with Japanese/Eastern storytelling and heroism structure.

Ah I did not know the J stood for Japanese, I thought it may have been a spelling mistake, as I have never heard the term used before. To be honest the only JRPG's I have ever played have been the Final Fantasy games, maybe Zelda if you class it as a RPG.

I get what you mean about the others you mention, although I have not played all the ones you have listed, but I'm very familiar with Oblivion and Fallout.
