Trish Keenan passed away three years ago today.

These lyrics remind me of Raymond Carver, not just because they share his slightly unhinged but superlatively earnest intensity, but also because my pops gave me Will You Please Be Quiet, Please? the same day my sister gave me Roman Candle. Sometimes I love life.

I saw someone describe this as "liminal" and "crepuscular" and I was struck by how depressing it was that those words are so damn right.
