Sissel are known for her powerful voice, while the jazz musician Jan Garbarek are known for nifty music. He wrote this piece, while she sang it.

Nils Petter Molvær is an electronic jazz musician which creates music that I find very stimulating to listen to.

Lots of xenophobic people listen to it, because it's nationalistic in nature...
However, they're not really xenophobic themselves to any major extent.

When I go abroad, the first thing everyone says when I tell them I'm from the Netherlands, is "Yeah, with like Tiësto and Armin van Buuren! Those guys are good!". So, appearantly Holland is the country of those two guys. But right now a new Dutch artist, one Caro Emerald, is getting really successfull here. She popped up out of nowhere, she got a huge hit with her latest song and I think she could have potential abroad. Perez Hilton already noticed her.

Whot's more, is they're still touring, and have been doing so since the 70's. With a mix of deep, thoughtful lyrics covering a wide range of topics, and a rather unique sound that's changed with the decades, they're probably canada's top band.

Sad part is, many americans still have never heard of them ;_;
