Came out yesterday

I'm going to go grab it right now.

Anyone else going to play it?

Me... sigh. My friend already has 16 badges because he pirated it or something.

I just picked up Heart Gold because a friend picked up silver yesterday, so we can trade. :) I'll let you know how it goes. (I'm a Pokemon newbie.)

I have a question for Pokemon fans.

I haven't actually played a Pokemon yet, but I'm thinking of giving the series a try. Which Pokemon game is the absolute best released so far in your opinion? (Not just between gold and silver, but any of the ones yet released.)

Gold/Silver was my favorite edition, but the originals are great too.

I've been playing this remake since I opened the box though, really great.

Yayz. :) I have Croconaw too. I love that little bugger.

I also have Spearow, who I love.

And geodude!

And.. Spinarak, Togepi, and Sentret.

I'm thinking about turning in my Platinum for one of them. I didn't care much for that game.

I'm glad they're re-releasing them. Although I'd rather just play the original Gold (since I still have my GBA SP and wuv it), it's perfect for a lot of people. Excellent games.

(...though I liked Crystal more than Gold or Silver, since I liked FINALLY being able to play as a girl.)

Shame the female character on HG/SS looks quite ugly. :sadbanana:

I'll play as the male character. Meh. :D

Update:

I just beat Lance.. barely. He knocked out all but two of my pokemon, a Gyarados and my Ho-oh. All I could do when he kept using that supermove was heal, and pray for him to hurt himself or miss. I was beaten, battered, and itemless by the time his final pokemon was revealed, and I was so glad it was a type weak against my Gyarados. :)

I'm now in Kanto.

My team is:

-Alakazam (my highest level and awesome special attacks)
-Feraligatr (Solid all-around, but excels at nothing except one-shotting fire types with hydro cannon)
-Gyarados (Nice attack and defense)
-Ho-oh (kicks ass at everything)
-Furret (has a bunch of useful field moves)
And the last slot hasn't solidified for me yet. I'm planning on training up Jolteon as soon as I can get my hands on a thunderstone. Water is the bane of my team currently. :)

I play a lot on pokemononline.com. A bit busy lately, but if you jump on I can give you a game or 2.
