Cool, I hadn't been exposed to The Postal Service actually. But, if "they have to speculate," they seem like they may be my kind of peeps. :D

I swear i have some other cover floating around my ipod, but can't think of by whom or if i'm just imagining things. (If so, probably some indie band that wouldn't even make the wiki page lol)

tomas' voice just doesnt do this song justice.
neither do the brass instruments trying to replicate electronic beats.
but it is catchy. hahaha

Never heard this song before. I found it very boring.
The cover was close to unbearable, although the bunch of ridiculous l'oréal-haired people in the video might be more than partly responsible.

Is it a form of agreement with what I said, by insidiously blaming it on common NTP musical approaches?

No, it's just an assessment of your type, since you have it listed as INxx and seem uncertain which one you are.

Oh ok.

And yeah, I heard the original, it's the one I found boring. I aknowledge that my taste aren't universal, but I am having a really hard time understanding what made this song so popular.

It's ~3 minutes long and has a repetitive melodic hook that gets stuck in people's heads and makes them want to hear it again.

The ska version was the most bearable of the covers.

The original is pretty good. It reminds me of Radiohead, apart from the singer's voice. I like the video and the fact that they were in a semiconductor fab. Though as someone before me has mentioned, "I can't believe she just grabbed that wafer with her fingers!"

Many A Cappella groups have done the song, but I found this group to be the most entertaining overall... what with the dance moves and all.
