What are your favorite card games?

I'm looking for card games that are easy to learn, but involve enough strategy to be fun. Like something that seems simple at first but is surprising complex. Preferably one deck and suitable for two players.

My friend and I were trying to find some games and everything was either totally brainless and no fun, or too confusing to figure out.
