As for "conservative" political songs that are actually good, there are a few. They usually tend toward the libertarian/"live and let live" side, as opposed to the more religious or nationalist side. Rush, for instance, are major Ayn Rand fans. I like a lot of their tunes. "Taxman" by The Beatles is a great anti-income tax song. How about Oingo Boingo's "Capitalism?" The song more satirizes left-wing intellectuals than it celebrates the free market, but the sentiment is certainly there.

There were some truly AWFUL anti-Bush songs the past eight years, but a few were really good. This is my favorite.

Agnostic Front were one of the few flag-waving hardcore/punk bands of the '80s. "Public Assistance" is a song about how the working man resents those living off welfare.

Oh, yeah. He wanted to write a song expressing the viewpoint of people from his area. He was a Dubya supporter, though. He's a pretty conservative guy in a lot of ways.
