Worst band names?

Green Day is just a terrible name, Billie Joe Armstrong even stated in an interview that he regrets the name.

I also hate Blackeyed Peas, Street Sweepers Social Club (...seriously, why so complicated?), We The Kings, 50 Cent (not a band, but still a terrible persona)

I like that Green Day's other persona is Foxboro Hot Tubs.

Some of these names are great. ABBA, The Byrds, Crash Test Dummies, Fine Young Cannibals, ? & the Mysterians. Nothing wrong with those.

Of course there's nothing wrong with these. Other than personal preference, I don't really see that there's anything wrong with all the other names in this thread either.

Yeah they're pretty cool...the name is taken from The Beatles' movie Magical Mystery Tour, which is not a bad place to take your name from.

I hate wanky band names so another vote for DCFC. I also think Panic! at the Disco, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Pretty Girls Make Graves and any other bands named for a Smiths' song are highly lame.

Pretty Girls Make Graves and Shakespears Sister are the only two bands I can think of that named themselves after Smiths songs.

They took their (stupid) name from The Doors of Perception by Alduos Huxley.

Well, do you think I knew that? And secondly. Any other layman besides me that just looked at their name might think, "they're doors". I took it as I saw it.

I guess my lack of quickly opening a new tab and going to wikipedia to read up on the doors has gotten me into a bit of trouble, eh?

Edit: After reading the pages in between my earlier post and this one I have seen that the situation has been diffused. You can disregard most of the above statement.
