Because it's more of my personal interest. My favourite bass riffs and lines.

For Bass, I love listening to YYZ.

For guitar...hmm I love Welcome to the Jungle. Pumps me up.

I'm more of a metal fan when it comes to guitar, so I'll leave with one of my favorite opening riffs by Kalmah.

Though I'm not a Val Halen kind of guy, and the song doesn't particularly attract me, one of the best riffs I have heard is

YouTube - Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love (Stereo!)

    also--
YouTube - The Ocean - Led Zeppelin
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?

Oh yes. Best ever IMO. Blows 99.99% of all riffs ever created out of the water.

I love the intro to Money For Nuthin' (Dire Straits). Too bad the rest of the song kind of goes down hill once he starts singing hehe
    Embrace the possibilities.
