when younger: Ren&Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Lab, Pinky&the Brain, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star

now: ATHF, South Park, Sealab 2021, Space Ghost, Shin Chan, and Lil Bush is okay for shock humor

ATHF is great stuff. I laughed my ass off at Space Ghost when it first started coming on in the 90s, especially at Brak. I do love Home Movies, too. But I think Futurama is probably my favorite cartoon presently.

As a kid I liked Warner Bros and Tom&Jerry, Speed Racer, He-Man, She-Ra, Thundercats :)rolleyes:) and Transformers.

I really like "Pinky and the brain" and I used to like Carmen Sandiego.

Yes, Carmen Sandiego was the best! I even had the computer game (which was awesome) and probably taught me more about geography than school did.

I also loved Rainbow Bright when I was really young, and for my Nickelodeon fix I would choose The Angry Beavers and Hey Arnold.

Oh yeah, that one was great too lol, "what do you want to today", "same thing we do every day, try to take over the world".

My 12-year-old and 7-year-old sons are Pinky and the Brain, respectively. The older one is wacky and likes to play, and the younger one wants to take over the world.

The odds of them actually cooperating on such a venture are remote, however.

When I was young I quite enjoyed Duck Tales. I saw a few episodes not long ago and I was impressed to find that, even as an adult, it was still pretty watchable. I love that in the Disney universe there's an unabashedly greedy curmudgeon and that they gave him his own TV show.

I used to read Uncle Scrooge comics all the time, Mycroft. I love that guy. He is, without a doubt, my favorite Disney character.

As a kid: She-ra, Smurfs, transformers
As a teen: Little mermaid (at 15 I watched this repeatedly & now my daughter loves it. I was freaked out to know I still have all of the songs memorized.)
As an "adult": Spongebob, Fosters home, Invader Zim, dexters laboratory, and fairly odd parents

- Warner Brothers cartoons (1940-1960), especially Chuck Jones
- Pinky & the Brain
- Fairly Oddparents
- The Simpsons
- Futurama
- Powerpuff Girls
- Thundarr the Barbarian
- Batman: Animated Series
- Spongebob Squarepants
- Ed, Edd, and Eddy
- Rocky & Bullwinkle

If we have to talk animated pictures, then:
- Anything by Pixar (especially The Incredibles)
- Iron Giant [by Brad Bird as well]
- Beauty & the Beast
- The Emperor's New Groove
- Wallace & Gromit (anything)
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame (although I admit it's a far departure from the book]

Heavy Metal had some interesting bits, although most of it was camp and/or just freaky-weird.

We have Ducktales on VHS at home! I discovered it last Christmas. Unfortunately our VCR is broken.

Tail Spin, Ducktales, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, Power Rangers, no likey Goof Troop, Jem, My Little Pony, Carebears,God Bless the Disney Afternoon. My childhood favorite....

Child's Play. While that isn't technically a cartoon and I don't remember how I was able to see that as a child, it remains my favorite. My childhood was blessedly absent of dolls, such a relief. :woot:

Not much into TV cartoons, but some of my favorite features:

  • Bambi
  • The Black Cauldron
  • The Land Before Time (only the original)
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Aladdin
  • The Hunchback of Notre Dame
  • Atlantis: The Lost Empire*
  • Treasure Planet*

*These are films I both love and hate at the same time.
