    Maybe he borrowed E's beard?

Souljacker is by far the best Eels album. In fact, I think it's tied to Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water." I.e., there is a song about a letter with jungle music (The Eels "Jungle Telegraph" vs. S&G's "Why Don't You Write Me) and a song about a boxer (The Eels "Bus Stop Boxer" vs. S&G's "The Boxer") and other parallels...
"How can I be, all I want to be,
When all I want to do is strip away these stilled constraints
And crush this charade, shred this sad, masquerade"

I love Souljacker! And I love Joaquin Phoenix. I love how the media has not known what to do with his little escapades. When he staged a fight at his concert, they weren't sure whether they should report it. Hilarious, if you ask me. I'm in love with the man.
