Good choices. I :wubbie: them too!

Wolfs Rain - Darcia. A tragic character who was driven mad by the slow death of his loved one. So transforming him into the villain of the series.
Heroes - Sylar. His super power is Knowing How Things Work. And he willing to tear open peoples heads to find out. Now that's style.
The Dark Knight - The Joker. "Introduce a little anarchy..."
His Dark Materials - Lord Asriel. An alpha male among alpha males. His achievements include succesfully cracking a plan to kill God himself.
The Wheel of Time - Matt Cauthon. Rand Al'Thor may be the leading man, but Matt is the crowds favourite. "It's time to role the dice."
V for Vendetta - V. The ever-theatrical V sees himself not as a man, but as a symbol. "Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof."
Father Ted - Father Jack. This ironic priest, with his lechorous history and unrelenting demands for drink, introduces some much needed bad language into the series. "Feck off!"
The Matrix - Agent Smith. The exact opposite to our hero Neo, Agent Smith is the embodied anti-thesis of the human ideals of freedom and love.
Farscape - John Crichton. The representitive of the human race in a galaxy of aliens, the viewer sometimes must wander if John is more outlandish than the alien races he encounters. Despite being a talented scientist and logical thinker, John has a definite insane streak.
Farscape - Scorpius. The iconically monstrous appearence of Crichtons nemesis is belittled by a calm and well spoken manner that would envy even Stephen Fry. But beware, this moderate, gaunt, exterior is infact disguising a man who is prone to fits of rage.

Oooo good thread idea!

Mine, in no order:

1. Anne of Green Gables - ethereal, imaginative INFP. A friend I had once, said I reminded her of Anne. :) I could relate to her in a lot of ways, even though I'm an INTJ.

2. Luna Lovegood, from the Harry Potter series. Another highly amusing, odd INFP... and I loved her hair (extensions) in the movie.

3. Peter Petrelli from Heroes, probable INFJ, he's quirky, very interesting, and he saved the cheerleader to save the world ;)

4. I second the person who said Kitty Pryde from X-Men... who can't love a person named Kitty Pryde who can walk through walls?! lol. (Even more fun is that she was actually named after someone IRL!)

5. Donnie Darko. Because having hallucinations of six-foot-tall bunny rabbits who give you apocalyptic visions of the future is just awesome.

6. Aragorn, from LotR - I love his noble character.

7. Bean, from the Ender series... genius misfit who grew (quite literally!) and went on all sorts of awesome adventures.

8. Petra Arkanian, from the Ender series - Because fiction needs fearless leader females, and she and Bean are cute together. :D

9. Simon Tam, from Firefly - because awkward, extremely bright IxTx guys highly amuse me.

10. Hadassah from Mark of the Lion series - because she has lots of scars on her face and still gets the guy in the end.

Haha, I see you like six-foot-tall bunny rabbits too ;)

Brennan's another one of my favorites, although the limit was 10 :D

So... many... options.

Crap. Let me try to narrow it down. In no particular order,
1) Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (INFJ)
2) Charles Wallace from Madeleine L'engle's Time Quartet. (INFJ)
3) DEATH from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. (INTJ)
4) Death from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. (ENTJ)
5) Starbuck from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. (ISTP)
6) Batman. My favourite comic book hero ever. (no idea)
7) Kitty Pryde, X-Men. I love her to death (in AXM and beyond). (ENFJ)
8) Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, Angel the Series. Dark Wesley = awesome. (INTJ)
9) Captain Malcolm Reynolds, Firefly/Serenity. His amoral but ethical awesomeness knows no bounds. (xNTP)
10) Elinor Dashwood, from Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. (ISFJ)

I find it difficult to love/empathise with a fictional person from a movie. It just doesn't have the time/scope to explore a person's psyche completely. That's why I didn't include any characters from movies. Also, I find it interesting that it's 5F:5M.

Edited to try to type them.

Heyyyy, 5 females and 5 males in my list too, with Kitty Pryde on both!

Although, I do think Willow was INFP :) She just seemed too random for an INFJ, that and she seemed Fi dominant IMO. Then again, it's been years since I saw the series, so who knows.

What type do you think Doyle was, from Angel?

I gave up on making a definitive list of my favorites, and just tried to name the 10 that came to mind (trying for 5/5). I'll probably come up with another ten tomorrow:

1. Donna Noble (Doctor Who): Made of awesome.
2. Takeru T (Digimon): Made of brave. I think I might have cheered when he punched Ken. (Competition with Gatomon, I got to be honest.)
3. Hiyono Yuizaki (Spiral: Bonds of Reasoning): The only real genius in the series. ;) I'm going to ignore any ending retcon which would attempt to reduce her awesomeness and skills.
4. Ariel (The Little Mermaid)
5. Wesley Wyndam Pryce (Angel): I just couldn't resist stealing this one from the first page
6. Yuki Sohma (Fruits Basket): Didn't really like him at first, but his journey of self-actualization was really touching.
7. Mrs. Frisby (and the Rats of Nimh)
8. Charles Morgan (Witch Week): Yeah, he's a somewhat evil, most selfish, miserable 11-year-old. But he's a funny one. A "Simon says" spell on a teacher's pet named "Simon" = major funnies.
9. The Monkey King: Cause the antics don't stop being hilarious.
10. Samsoon Kim (My Lovely Samsoon): A great character in a storyline that would ordinarily piss-me-off, makes it absolutely palatable. Both self-respecting and vulnerable.

  • franko nero as django
  • ben browder as john crichton in farscape
  • tetsuo (in otmo's akira)
  • jean d arc in hollywood style, like in "the messenger", although i am still wating for a better version.
  • mel gibson mostly in my fantasy. well, braveheart would be a good enough example. or better hamlet.
  • ken wilber (i tend to believe he exists only in my imagination, as apparently no one else can see him and he came to me when i was desperately crying for orientation. suspicious ain't it? )

uhm ... 10 ? ..... okay, lets be more arbitary:

  • jill hennesy (as Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh), although the series is not that good.
  • katee sackhoff as starbuck
  • eric bana as hulk
  • jeremy davies in solaris
  • emily mortimer in lars and the real girl
  • ellen page in juno
  • sigourney weaver in alien
  • jennifer connelly in house of sand and fog
  • marianne palka in good dick
i willl have to make a point somewhere ... else
