Oh, that reminds me...there is a Manga called Demon Diary. It's about a Demon-Boy who should be a mean evil Demon-King, but he just can't, cuz he is all soft. Always good for a Laugh

Picked up Scarlet Veronica yesterday. It's a four part mini series. First issue seemed alright but I'm going to check out #2 at work before I decide if I want to get them all. Something about a HS girl who died and came back with some kind of dark alter-ego, and Egyptian curses and zombies. More comedy than serious horror though. Artwork is reminiscent of Xombie.

Also hearing great things about another mini series, Hexed. It kicks off this December but advanced reviews are very good so I'm going to be keeping my eye on that.

    From an early review:

Iíd describe it as a mixture of Tank Girl and Hellblazer. The character designs make it visually similar to Tank Girl. Since it deals with the occult with seedy underworld tones, the content is more like Hellblazer. But since the colors used are different from anything Iíve seen in a comic (a lot of pink, red, and green -- mostly warm colors), itís still unique visually. Even though it deals with occult, the characters are so much different from Hellblazer that it sets itself apart in terms of story as well.

I'm going to agree with FLCL too.

My favorite Sunday comic strip from the newspaper is Pearls Before Swine. I always skip over the other lame ones and go straight for that one. It's probably available online somewhere.

I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if anyone already said this..

Personally I like anything Marvel for books and graphic novels...especially Xmen.

And Calvin and Hobbes is the absolute best for a comic strip!

Rhymes With Orange is usually good, too. The rest in the Sunday Comics are not my thing, though.
    Following Wade's example:

Momma is a big favorite in our house too, because sometimes we think that's where it's taking place.

Marvel is great I just picked up the New Avengers: Illuminati graphic novel. Has anybody been following the secret invasion storyline with the skrulls?
