    Hieronymus Bosch

    Claude Monet

Craig Mullins (technically digital, but he still retains painterly qualities)

    William Turner

And that has made all the difference."

What a good idea for a thread!

    I like this guy:

I know people look down on him and say he isn't a proper artist, and that some of his stuff is soft porn, but who gives a f*ck? I like him. Plus he's Scottish. I have some limited edition stuff.

I like some modern sculpture but find most modern/abstract art alienating.

The Old Masters, the Pre-Raphaelites and the Impressionists, float my boat. Esp.

    Titian

    Rubens

    Millais

    Cassatt

    Degas

    Renoir

    and Monet of course

Klimt is about as abstract as Im prepared to go

And I like all things Rennie-MacIntosh

I like some Lucian Freud, but not this:

DO NOT WANT!!! (even if it is worth $33M)

Pretty boring, I know, but I likes pretty things.

    Hmmm... lots of neked ladies....

I like Lautrec, and if I may be so boring, Van Gogh, and the one who painted with the many, tint dots. I can't remember his name.

I actually love both of those, and I am using a Van Gogh painting as my avatar, so it CANNOT be boring.

and the one who painted with the many, tint dots. I can't remember his name.
There's actually a whole movement dedicated to this. they call it impressionism.
