For Texan members -- this game actually looks bad-ass!!!

I am not much for Westerns, but when a sci-fi spin is put on them, then they can potentially capture my interest.

Behold Damnation, coming for the Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

I bet the PC version will be the best (if you have a capable system).

Since you're also in Norway, did you ever play Too Human?

I'm not in Norway anymore :) Moved back to Sweden in february. Better ISP ;) Nah, I took up my studies.

I have not played "Too Human". I will, however, google it! :)
PC games are almost always superior, I hate consoles. And yes, my system is quite capable. Bought a new desktop about two-three weeks ago. Hard to tell, i've been playing so much :D (CoD 4, FarCry 2, The Witcher: Enhanced edition, Battlefield 2).

Since i'm a lazy bastard and since it might be a good idea to put it somewhere in the beginning of this thread... When is this cool Damnation game coming?

A friend of mine played them, I wasn't that impressed... You know how console games somehow seem cluttered? I don't like games where I can't snipe people from afar.
That's why Battlefield 2 is one of my long time favorites... Been playing it since 2005 :D
Doesn't matter how good the graphics or how action packed a game is if it's too tight to maneuver. I like to lay still scouting, then carefully estimating distance, wait till the target is standing still... Bang! One shot, one kill :D

And I would have much preferred Far Cry 2 to have the campy sci-fi story.

I thought the campiness of the first game was part of the appeal.

Definitely... FarCry 2 sucks. Looks like and feels like a console game, too. I think i'll delete that shit and move on to the next game... Wonder what that will be.
Have you played CoD 4, btw? Captain MacMillan has got to be the coolest NPC in any game, ever :D

I liked Far Cry 2, but it shouldn't have been a Far Cry game.

Played the demo of Call of Duty 4. Wasn't impressed. It was way too linear.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin looks pretty good, too.

That's part of the charm with CoD. Either you die or you complete the mission; very militaristic. ;) I kind of like it... When things are linear, the story tends to get really good. Story becomes a major issue for all these open-ended games :( A good example of games that take the middle way and succeeds is Vampire: Bloodlines, in my opinion. Loved that game :D

Although I do like the Half-Life games...and they were quite linear.

Texas has a past, not just the present. ;)

Texas of the past was filled with steam-powered spaceships, robots, and tarantulas! :D

Man that thing was so cool! It stepped on my neighbor's house and I hated them. +1.

Too bad I can't say the same for the movie. (Such wonderful effects sequences, though.)
