so recently I had some ideas to create some progressive/indie/whatever looking clothes. I know very little about fashion design beyond what I've read on the web.
my current tentative plans are to: - draw design mockups - purchase clothes from a secondhand shop - take said clothes to help prototype my design ideas - after hopefully feeling satisfied about creating said prototype, I would try creating the same item except by sewing - learn to sew, I don't know how to do this (or pay someone to create what I want but not as fun then) - try to sell the final product through Etsy(Etsy . com) or local places that sell work by local designers I'm really way too busy right now to follow through on the above plans but if you have any opinions on/experience with fashion design then I'm all ears. |
