Default First day at a new job

On your first day at a new job, try to avoid making a bad first impression:

A newly-hired teacher was found intoxicated and not wearing any pants inside an Oklahoma high school classroom on her first day of work, according to Wagoner police.

Police arrested Lorie Hill after two Wagoner High School teachers found her intoxicated and without pants in an empty classroom she was claiming to be her own, KOKI-TV reports. Recently hired by Wagoner Public Schools, Hill was reporting for her first day on the job as all teachers were also returning for their first day back in school from summer break.

“They didn’t know who she was, she was apparently new and was supposed to start yesterday,” Wagoner Police Chief Bob Haley told KOKI. [...]

At least she'll never be able to teach.

    Thoughts:

    1. Maybe she's been drunk since June, so it's her normal state.
    2. Maybe she's been drunk since June and last thing she knew, she was doing a "Girls Gone Wild" video tour.
    3. It's hot in Texas, and pants can be so uncomfortable.
    4. Maybe she was wearing a skirt, so pants would have been redundant.
    5. They were filming an episode of Punk'd and the school has been had.
    6. They were filming an episode of Punk'd and she thought it was funny lemonade.
    7. It's Texas.

But wait, yes, she admitted to drinking the vodka:

Wagoner Police say she admitted to drinking and authorities found an empty cup in her vehicle that contained an odor of vodka, but there was not enough evidence to prove that she commuted to work under the influence. There were no credible witnesses at her home in Claremore to prove a DUI charge, so Hill was only arrested for public intoxication.

“When our officers interviewed her she did admit to having had some vodka yesterday morning before she came to school,” said Haley.

It does make you wonder. I can see someone drinking vodka to steady their nerves, but I can't imagine her drinking enough in the car to lose her memory of what she was supposed to be doing. Also, if she had gotten drunk there, you'd suspect that's where her pants would have been -- yet her pants were not found, hence it sounds like she left home without them.

It's like one of those dreams where you're in school or you're at work and you look down and realize that you forgot to put on your pants that morning.

So I guess you could say that the woman in the article is "living the dream"!

    This is hilarious.

You know she was discovered by some guy asking, "Who are you and where the hell are your pants?".

She must've been like...."I'm Lori, the new teacher here, and pants are for suckers!"

Honestly...how this did not end up on youporn is beyond me. All the ingredients were there. Alcohol, teacher, nudity...even a cop! What, did they need funky jazz music playing over the intercom to get going?

    Ok, I'll stop now..

Odd, that's how I got my first job.
