I wouldn't be afraid of the teachers having the wrong impression.

They probably do have the wrong impression, but this might actually work for you if you go to one of them and ask them for help since it might come as a shock.

Teachers generally like to see a student turn around, so if you show that you are seriously interested in doing that, you'll probably get a positive response.

I fail to see how this is constructive in any manner.

Have you tried asking teachers if you could get a visual copy of their notes prior to the lectures? Most lecturers will have a pretty decent set of notes to go off of, and I imagine it wouldn't be too much trouble for them to do a quick photocopy...
Thank you, that is actually amazing advice thanks for that I`ll keep you that in mind.

So congrats on that.

You said that you made a connection with an English teacher. I would start there-- ask him or her if you can talk after school or another time when you can talk privately. Then tell him or her what you told us in your first post. If you are honest and say you know you've had some problems with behavior in the past (smoking post, fighting), and then let the teacher know that you really want to do better but you think you need some help, he or she should be able to point you in the right direction.
    Thank you
