You must realize that both the BZÖ and the FPÖ are what are termed national-liberal, pan-German parties. To be more specific, they are what many call 'national-conservative' or 'populist'. Others have called them 'far right.'
In any case I suppose it is quite a coincidence that the leader of the recent BZÖ died in such a way after receiving such impressive results. It makes one wonder what the future of the party will be after his loss.

But "his time" has come in the very odd moment.
