Me

Hello, I'm Jennifer, and my mutant power seems to be the ability to avoid easy categorization.

I have been married for [a long time]. We have three children (one, two, three!). A few years ago, we also had a fish, but considering the [not so] careful ministrations of the child who was supposed to be caring for it, it wasn't long before Bob made that last fateful journey through the city plumbing system and out into the sea. (Needless to say, plaintive requests for a hamster or puppy or platypus have been summarily denied...)

I am probably one of the most stable people you will ever meet who has had an ongoing mid-life crisis since the age of ten and yet has never been incarcerated or temporarily committed.

I am also a bookophile, and the fantasy of rolling around underneath piles and piles of books makes my toes curl. (The Internet might woo my mind, but the printed word has won my heart.)

I greatly aspire to become more self-aggrandizing and one day even hope to become queen of Charn, but I have not heard back on the latter yet. <cross fingers>

As to not make this biography entirely useless, I will say that I am highly curious and love to explore. I also enjoy observing people, understanding what it is like to be them, and encouraging them to be more... THAT... or whatever it is. (Unless it's bad for them, whereupon I would encourage them to be more like Cafe or Ivy but never MacGuffin... Because there is only one Mac, and... well, you'll see.)

Did I fill my word quota yet? Good.

MacGuffin MacGuffin

Mac is comprised of three parts -- the Ego, the Superego, and the Id -- and sometimes misspells the last one as IT.

Which is apropos, as Mac is very much a clown. A dark clown. A twisted, demented, devil-may-care, Darth-Vaderish-tottering-around-bellowing-NOoOoOooO sort of clown. But a clown nonetheless. (I remember the first time I saw him on INTPc and thought, "Gee. What a clown. And he is almost funny. Mostly. Well, I'm laughing. That counts for something. Maybe. Hic, maybe I should stop chasing those oxycontins down with goldschlager...?")

Mac is more of a postwhore than I could ever aspire to be, which is saying a lot. But most of his repetoire consists of one-liners and zingers and large bottles of cheap gin mixed with seltzer water (as a true clown would do), so the accumulation of flufferized posts makes a great deal of sense.

Despite all of these things, or perhaps because of them, Mac is a wonderful person who might actually even care about the people around him. [Sorry for revealing your secret, but I owe you.]

And his self-castigations inadvertently screwed up my life to the topsy-turvy edge of the precipice where I seem to totter now, so I have him to thank.

Thanks a lot, Dark Clown.
